Walk around the estate Leyduin, Woestduin and Vinkenduin

Walk around the estate Leyduin, Woestduin and Vinkenduin

The walk goes through a beautiful estate with traces of an old horse race track. You will pass a white stone watchtower in neo-Gothic style. There was a finch track on the Vinkenduin estate. The track can still be recognized by high earthen walls that surround a field with lime trees. Finches used to be caught in nets here.

Walking combination

The walk can be combined with the walk through Vinkenduin and Oud Woestduin. (White posts). We then see the different landscape styles: austere French, varied English and mixed with modern ecological forest management. Many different birds breed here: the hawfinch, the gray flycatcher, various woodpecker species, thrushes and nuthatches. Several wealthy families used the estates as summer residences. The houses cannot be visited.
