The Historical Grand Prix is the most important historical event in the Netherlands. Many motorsport enthusiasts come to Zandvoort and make it a fun weekend. They bring their family, friends and colleagues with them, because many other activities are organized during this weekend outside of the racing event. On Saturday evening, the famous parade with antique racing cars takes place. After the parade, the floats are parked in the village and everyone can admire them up close and take selfies. At the same time, concerts are given by different bands on different stages.

On the track, the classic F2 and F3 cars from the 1960s-1970s and GT cars from 1990 to 2015 race against each other. Enjoy the roaring engines and let yourself be transported back to the past. The complete program can be found at: https://historicgrandprix.nl/programma/

The first Grand Prix race was held on August 7, 1948. The winner of this event was Prince Bira of Siam in a Maserati. This race was not yet part of the Grand Prix circus. The first Grand Prix dates from 1952 and was driven thirty times. This was followed by the Zandvoort Masters of F3. In the meantime, racing became increasingly popular and the Grand Prix returned to Zandvoort in 2021.

Cycling Zandvoort, Saturday 14 June 2026

The Cycling Zandvoort event holds cycling races on the Zandvoort circuit. You can register for this wonderful race with family members, friends or colleagues. What could be better than cycling on the world-famous Zandvoort circuit. There are different distances that can be covered. Like the 4, or 8 hour race. All races start at 4 p.m. on June 11.

There is also a residents’ tour for everyone from Zandvoort and the surrounding area who would like to cycle around the circuit. Completely free and you can participate on anything you have at home. For example, a (cargo) bike, a go-kart, a single wheeler or a tandem. As long as it has to do with cycling/pedaling. The residents’ round starts at 10.16 am.

Pride at the Beach Zandvoort is one of the biggest events in our seaside resort. This year it will take place from Sunday 30 July to Tuesday 1 August in Zandvoort. The aim of this event is to show that everyone is welcome in Zandvoort, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

There are plenty of activities and performances during Pride at the Beach Zandvoort, including performances by many popular artists, DJs and drag queens. There is also a large parade through the center of Zandvoort. Everyone can be themselves especially during this weekend and be proud of who they are. It’s always nice to see people come together to celebrate that everyone should be able to be the way they feel. The atmosphere during Pride at the Beach Zandvoort is therefore always fantastic. Everyone feels welcome.

The Pride at the Beach Zandvoort is without a doubt always a great success and it is clear that it is an important event for the LGBTQ+ community in Zandvoort and far beyond.

The Spartan Race in Zandvoort is an experience for anyone looking for a new challenge. The race, which takes place in beautiful Zandvoort, attracts thousands of participants from the Netherlands and abroad every year.

What makes the Spartan Race so special is the variety of obstacles. You will encounter all kinds of obstacles during the race, such as slides, wall climbing, obstacles through water and sand, and much more. The obstacles are carefully designed to challenge you both physically and mentally. You will have to go to the bottom during the race. You can participate in the Sprint, Super, Beast, Kids, Night Sprint, and/or Spartan PARA! New is an extra sprint on Sunday. The Hurricane Heat is also coming back.

The Circuit Run in Zandvoort is a fantastic event for runners and spectators alike. The course starts from the pit lane on the Zandvoort circuit. All distances first run a full lap around the circuit. Then the course goes towards the beach, the dunes and the village. The finish of all distances is again at Circuit Zandvoort.

The atmosphere during the circuit run is always positive and fun. Music stages have been set up on the course where live bands perform, providing extra motivation and energy for the participants. There are also several stalls where visitors can go for a snack and a drink. The Circuit Run is very varied.

There is also plenty to do for spectators during the Circuit Run. There is a special spectator area where you can enjoy the circuit and the runners. There is also a large screen on which the race can be followed.

In general, the Circuit Run in Zandvoort is a great event where running and fun go hand in hand. The main distance and race is 12 kilometers. In addition, you can choose the 10 English miles (16.1 km) or the 4 kilometers (only on the circuit). There is a special round for the children.

There is a charity linked to the running competition. This year it is Villa Joep, the foundation that conducts scientific research into neuroblastoma. Neuroblastoma is cancer of the precursor cells of the involuntary nervous system. Most children who get it are under 4 years old. The tumor is most common in the adrenal medulla in the abdomen, and sometimes in the thoracic cavity, pelvis, or neck. During your registration you can make a voluntary contribution to this foundation.

The Omloop van Zandvoort is an annual cycling race that takes place in Zandvoort. With distances of 40, 80 and 120 km, the Omloop is ideal for both recreational and sporting cyclists. After the start from the spectacular Pitstraat on the Zandvoort F1 circuit, a large lap of 4 km is completed on the challenging and hilly circuit.

After the lap of the CM.com Circuit Zandvoort, the participants of the four distances cycle through the village and the dune area. All the participants drive through the dune area towards Langeveldseslag. The participants in the two longest distances continue their way towards South Holland. Via the aid station in Lisserbroek and the newly asphalted Langepad, cyclists head towards the Haarlemmermeerse Bos and along the Polderbaan.

The route runs along the Beautiful Nel near Haarlem. At Paviljoen Loef there is time for everyone to relax and gain new energy. For the 120 km cyclists, there is a nice climb ahead at het kopje van Bloemendaal. On the steepest part the gradient is almost 10%. These two longest distances also pass the pit stop at Villa Zomerdijk.

In Overveen all participants come together again on the route. From here we head towards Zandvoort via the dunes to return to the circuit along the coast. After the finish, participants can enjoy this sporting day together in the paddock of the circuit.

All participants in the cycling round of Zandvoort can make a voluntary contribution to the ALS Netherlands Foundation, the charity associated with the event, when registering. Make a donation when you register or donate directly to the ALS Netherlands Foundation.

ALS (Amytrophic Lateral Sclerosis) is a deadly nerve/muscle disease that affects 1,500 people in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, 500 patients are added every year and 500 people die from the consequences of this disease. The cause of ALS is unknown and a cure is not available, so there is no hope for a future – with an average life expectancy of 3 to 5 years after diagnosis – for these 1,500 patients. There is only one way to end ALS: scientific research. We have no time to lose.

During the Omloop van Zandvoort there are various activities for spectators, such as musical performances, stands with cycling gear and a special children’s course. There are also various aid stations along the route, where the riders can recover and freshen up. Do you have a special two-wheeler such as a recumbent or a scooter? Even then you are of course very welcome to discover the racing circuit and the coastal region of Zandvoort!

Walking Tour Zandvoort’s 30, 29 mach 2025

The Zandvoort 30 is an annual walking tour that takes place in the seaside resort of Zandvoort. The Zandvoort 30 was first organized in 1982 and has since acquired a permanent place in the Dutch walking calendar. The walking tour is organized by Le Champion, an organization that organizes approximately 60 sporting events every year. They do this because they like to inspire and facilitate as many people as possible – young and old – to exercise and exercise. In this way we contribute to vital people and a healthy society. Fun and personal top performance go hand in hand.

The Zandvoort 30 starts at the Circuit Park Zandvoort, the famous race track in Zandvoort. The route of the competition runs via the beach to IJmuiden and back through the beautiful dune area around Zandvoort. The finish is in the center of Zandvoort.

In addition to the 30 kilometers, the 30 of Zandvoort also includes a walking tour of 20 kilometers. The 20 kilometers also starts at Circuit Park Zandvoort, but follows a different route through the dunes area. The finish is also in the center of Zandvoort.

Walkers can choose to first walk around the famous Zandvoort Circuit. That has been added again this year. Walkers of both the 30 km and the 20 km get a unique opportunity to walk a lap (One Lap) around the circuit. Walking over the curbstones, through the steep bends and along the main stand where it normally turns orange for our Dutch F1 driver. In the early morning with sunrise this creates unique pictures.

Both the 20 km and the main distance of 30 km, which is the most popular among participants, have a unique route where beach, nature and culture alternate. Discover the beautiful, versatile nature while you walk on the North Sea beach, through the Zuid-Kennemerland National Park and past the Duinlust Estate. All walkers walk via the Visscherspad towards the pleasant center of Zandvoort, where the finish party awaits them.

After an impressive walk through the Natural Monuments area, the 30 km walkers can relax again at Landgoed Duin & Kruidberg this edition. The stamp post at the Koetshuis is a lot of fun and offers a fantastic view over the estate.

Once again this year, the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Foundation is the charity of the 30 of Zandvoort. When registering, participants can make a contribution to cancer research at the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek. But they can also be sponsored, individually or as a group, by friends, family and colleagues. This year, the proceeds will benefit research into melanoma, a form of skin cancer

The Zandvoort Light Walk is an annual event that takes place in Zandvoort. During the Light Walk, the streets of Zandvoort are illuminated with beautiful light installations and works of art, specially designed for this event. The seaside resort is undergoing a true metamorphosis. The event attracts thousands of visitors from all over the country every year and is a unique experience for young and old.

During the Zandvoort Light Walk, participants take a beautifully illuminated route through the center of Zandvoort, passing various light installations and works of art that have been specially designed for this event. The route starts at the historic town hall of Zandvoort and runs through the pleasant center to the beach, where visitors pass various shops, restaurants and cafes. The Zandvoort Circuit is transformed into a sea of lights. Walkers are asked to decorate themselves with lights or wear luminous accessories. A long ribbon of lights will swing through Zandvoort on Saturday evening, February 17. There are walking routes of 6 (the Family Walk), 10, 14 or 18 kilometers.

The light installations and artworks on display during the Zandvoort Light Walk are all unique and created by local artists. For example, there are beautiful light projections on buildings, light objects placed in the streets, and works of art made from LED lighting. Several residents participate and decorate their homes with light objects.

In addition to the beautiful light installations and works of art, a fun party will be celebrated after the Zandvoort Light Walk. Pleasant music will be provided in the center of Zandvoort and you can toast the sporting evening at the Zandvoort catering establishments. The Zandvoort Light Walk has acquired a permanent place in Zandvoort’s cultural events calendar. The event is organized annually by Sports Organization Le Champion, a sports organization that organizes more sporting events. All sporting events have a good cause linked to them. KNRM Zandvoort is the charity for the 3rd edition of the Zandvoort Light Walk. The volunteers of the KNRM, in full Royal Dutch Rescue Society, are available day and night to provide assistance on the beach, at sea and in the dune area.

New Year’s Dive in Zandvoort – 1 january

New Year’s Dive in Zandvoort

The New Year’s Dive in Zandvoort is a fun way to start the new year. Rinse off the old year and ring in the new year with a refreshing dip in the North Sea. There is an extensive music program. Everything started in Zandvoort. We dive into the sea here on New Year’s Day as early as 1960. It is such a nice tradition that it was soon followed by other municipalities on the coast or on a lake.

Everyone is allowed to participate and the Zandvoort rescue brigade keeps an eye on things. The event will be held at Beachclub 10. Registration is free and can be done on the day itself or via the website http://nieuwjaars duikzandvoort.nl/. All participants receive an orange hat from a well-known soup brand. Afterwards you will receive a warm cup of pea soup and a certificate.

Before the dive there is a warm-up to swinging music. Then the countdown starts and hundreds of men, women, old and young run towards the sea. After a short swim, most participants quickly run back to their towel and clothes. A few sports enthusiasts stay a little longer. There are no showers available. So be sure to bring comfortable clothing, such as a jogging suit, a nice thick sweater and a thick towel.

For some, the New Year’s Dive in Zandvoort is an annual tradition. It attracts thousands of visitors.
